Boat
Definition:
A vessel for transport by water, constructed to provide buoyancy by
excluding water and shaped to give stability and permit propulsion.
Here’s where I’m actually. I’m on a cruise ship in Norway, floating down through the fjords. The boat is rocking so slightly, but the good kind of rocking and not the bad where you’re curled around the toilet with watery eyes. Here I’m lying on a deck chair. There’s a nice breeze coming through and the cliffs are green like crumpled dollar bills that you shove at the bartender and ask for another, just one more and I’m done for the night. This is it, I’m lying in the shade because my skin burns too easily, and there’s salt water in the air and my head doesn’t hurt anymore, and the world is gently rocking, rocking, going back and forth, and my eyes are blurry from the water in the air. The rocking, it’s only the boat going back and forth, and my eyes are wet because of the water in the air. It’s the salt water in the air.

I was wandering around Madison Square Park today and I saw this gigantic squirrel crawling up the pant leg of this business man. He didn’t seem bothered at all, he was just egging the squirrel on:
“Hey, you, What you lookin’ at? What you lookin’ at?”
I wish I had gotten a picture.

1. indistinct
Wait, sir, who are you, sir?
I can’t remember your face, sir.
I’d say it was a dream, sir,
But the pain in my head doesn’t give me
The pleasure, sir.

Reductio Ad Absurdum
Definition:
1. In Latin: “reduction to the absurd”
2. In Logic, a technical term referring to an argument to demonstrate that a proposition leads to a logically absurd consequence.
Even a devout Atheist must understand that the existence of God cannot be denied simply through an appeal to the Absurd. God, unfortunately, is not Absurd.
Example: Chances of BIG BANG happening as it did, completely randomly, so the Universe could support life - 1 in a Billion Trillion, maybe.
Given those odds, it’s understandable that God seems reasonable to some, to ensure that matter aligned as it did. Through pure probability, you can even prove it more likely (though not more plausible) that God had something to do with it.
So, in order to intelligently maintain a firm grasp on my atheism, I relish in one thought about my existence. That is, my existence is a demonstration of reductio as absurdum, a reduction to the Absurd.
How does it feel, being random? Being ABSURD?

String Theory
Definition:
A theory of quantum gravity. States that electrons, quarks, and atoms have 1 linear dimension (instead of 0 dimensions) and can “vibrate” in all directions, into other dimensions. Also, there’s like a million (26) fucking dimensions, or some shit.
I heard about String Theory in two different classes today. The first was a Philosophy class, the second was a Literary Theory class. Why? I don’t know.
But since I hear about it so much on the TV show Big Bang Theory, I just had to look it up on Wikipedia. I’m down for adding a couple more dimensions to the universe.

“In fact the unrest which keeps the never stopping clock of metaphysics going is the thought that the non-existence of this world is just as possible as its existence. Nay more, we soon conceive the world as something the non-existence of which not only is conceivable but would indeed be preferable to its existence; so that our wonder passes easily into a brooding over that fatality which nevertheless could call such a world into being, and mislead the immense force that could produce and preserve it into an activity so hostile to its own interests. The philosophic wonder thus becomes a sad astonishment, and like the overture to Don Giovanni, philosophy begins with a minor chord.”

Baby
Question:
How did the word “baby” become a term of endearment for loved ones?
All babies really do is eat, shit, and cry.
Not very endearing.
